Alice Claudine Wilkes Keel

Keel, Alice Claudine, of Alabaster, AL., returned home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 6, 2014. Claudine was born on April 2, 1927, in Dumas, Arkansas to her parents, Claude and Oma Wilkes. Claudine spent the majority of her life in Birmingham, Alabama with her now deceased husband, Ronnie Keel, who worked for 35 years with United States Steel. They then retired to the Gulf Coast, Pass Christian, Mississippi area enjoying family and friends. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, Montevallo, AL. Claudine is preceded in death by her parents of Durant, Mississippi, and her loving husband, Ronald C. Keel also of Alabaster, AL. She is survived by one sister, Virginia Blanton of Collierville, Tennessee, 5 daughters, Debby Keel Allbritton, Valerie Keel Mizerany (Mark), Jann Keel Owens (Frankie), Lisa Keel Robertson, and Ann Keel Vacarella (Tommy), 10 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11, 2014 from 9:00 until 10:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Montevallo. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM at the church, with a committal service at Alabama National Cemetery to follow at 11:00 AM. Services are under the direction of Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo).
