Barbara is survived by her husband, Bill Holsomback; nieces and nephews, Buddy Champion (Lynn), Paula Stewart (Monte), Sharon Erwin (Bobby), Wanda Harrell, Amy Henson (Paul), Pattie Truitt (Wes), Jim Ivy (Donna), Beth Teate (Joe), and Sierra Champion.
She is preceded in death by her son, Rodney Middlebrooks; first husband, Joe Middlebrooks; parents; brother, Barney Champion; sister, Mary “Mibby” Bruce who passed away March 15, 2024, just two days before Barbara; and niece, Lori Champion.
Barbara was devout in her faith and was a member of Calera Baptist Church. Her happy place was in the kitchen providing meals for friends and family.
A graveside for Barbara will be held Sunday, March 24, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Shelby Memory Gardens, 8586 AL-25, Calera, AL 35040.
