Scott was born on December 2, 1962, to Bob and Elizabeth Studdard in Alabaster Alabama. After Scott graduated from Montevallo High School in 1981, he went on to study Public Administration at Auburn University.
Scott was a huge Auburn fan and could frequently be found wearing his Auburn gear. If you spent any time around Scott, you would eventually hear the stories about his time as a walk-on for Auburn football. Unfortunately, his time with the team was cut short by a broken wrist.
Music was a huge part of Scott's life. He taught himself to play guitar in college and from then on he was never far from a stringed instrument. He even named his guitar "Melissa" after the Allman Brothers song.
After graduating from Auburn, Scott worked for Ivy Electrical for many years before he decided to start his own company selling and installing fences. He became the principal fence contractor for vinyl fences in the state. Examples of his fence can still be found at the American Village, the Botanical Gardens and many other locations around the state.
Anyone who knew Scott, knew that he loved cooking and believed you should cook for those you care about. From searching for just the right recipe to trying to copy dishes he'd had at restaurants, he would try just about anything. One of his family's favorites was his banana bread.
Scott is predeceased by his father, Bobby Clay Studdard; his mother, Elizabeth Ann Norris Studdard; and his brother, Keith Studdard. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Bacon Studdard; son, Palmer James Studdard; and his brother, Barry Studdard.
Visitation will be held at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo) on Saturday, January 29th at 10:00 am followed by the graveside service at 11:00 am at Montevallo City Cemetery.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.rockcofuneralmontevallo.com for the Studdard family.
