Brian Keith Maness, age 52, of Montevallo, died January 23, 2016 after a difficult battle with cancer. He was quite a man of integrity and had very strong philosophies. He stood firm on the belief of “Live free or die.” He always told you the truth whether you wanted to hear it or not. Every conversation would lead to talking about the Bible, history and his passion for truth. He loved to play Call of Duty with his family and friends. He was always up for an adventure and his dream was to dredge for gold in Alaska, which will be done in his memory.
He graduated from Thompson and attended the University of Montevallo. He worked at Pentair in Pelham as a Master Machinist, where he was known as “Mayonnaise” and “Papa” by his work family of 23 years.
Left to treasure his memory are his sons, Chris Maness (Erin) of Pelham, Matt Maness of Montevallo, Randy Berry of Tennessee and Casey Dalton of Hueytown; daughter, Desi Dalton; one brother; husband-in-law, Richard Dalton (Deb) of Calera; and his first grandchild on the way.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00PM at Crossroads Baptist Church in Montevallo, with burial to follow in Moores Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Keith requested that you not vote for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election.
