Lucas, Dorothy Pamplin, age 84, of Montevallo, Alabama, passed away October 16, 2014 at home with her family. She was born in Hale County to Edgar Pamplin and Leona Livingston Pamplin. She graduated from Akron High School and then attended the University of Montevallo. She was a member of Metro Church of God. She enjoyed cooking, rebuilding sewing machines and sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Manuel Pamplin. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Donald R. Lucas; daughters, Sharon Minnick (Gary) of Boaz, AL and Debra Lucas of Pelham, AL; son, Donald R. Lucas, Jr. of Foley, AL; and 3 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo), with the funeral service to begin at 11:00 AM. Bro. Tom Hammett and Bro. Jim Thompson will officiate. Burial will be at Montevallo City Cemetery.
