Frank Robert Hood

Frank Robert Hood passed away on January 2, 2017 at the age of 73. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rachel Hood; parents, Robert Hood and Dillie Burnett Hood; sisters, Claudia Booth (Bill) and Jessie Dean Hembree both of Montevallo, Ruby Jean Garner of Valparaiso, Indiana, Jewel Dean Krumrie of McCalla, Sarah Riviera Gannon of Louisville, Indiana and Linda Wilson Ellerman of South Haven, Indiana. He is survived by his wife, Linda Hood; daughter, Lisa Bowman and husband, Keith and their children, Tyler Jon Simmons, Matthew Frank Hood, Allison Grace Bowman and Abby Elise Bowman; son, Aaron Robert Hood and his wife, Amanda Breland Hood and their children, Robert Loftin Hood, Laurey Elizabeth Hood and Lyndon Breland Hood; sisters, Maudie Garner of Lake Station, Indiana, Earlean Poe of Portage, Indiana, and Barbara Gibson of Centreville, Alabama, and Dorothy Williams of Union Mills, Indiana. Frank attended grade school at Six Mile School in Six Mile, Alabama. He attended high school at Horace Mann High School in Gary, Indiana. He served in the US Navy from 1961 to 1965. He started Mid-South Instrument Service in Centreville, Alabama in 1979. The business still operates under his son, Aaron Hood. He co-owned Cahaba Falls Country Club in Centreville, Alabama. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2017 with visitation between 1 pm and 2pm and the service beginning at 2pm. Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo) will handle the services.
