Geraldine Marie Jensen

Geraldine (Gerie) Marie. Jensen passed away at Shelby Baptist Medical Center on August 18, 2015 at the age of 47. Gerie was preceded in death by her Father, Finley Holloway and Mother Linda Maes Holloway. Gerie is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Kevin D. Jensen. They were married in Topeka, KS on June 27 1991. Gerie is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Britteny D. Holloway and granddaughter, Autumn R. Holloway, of Alabaster, AL. She will be missed by her three sisters, Dorothy Cleland of Hiram, GA, Maxine Johnson of Trussville, AL, Marsha Howell of Pinson, AL, and brother, Mike Holloway of Jemison, AL. She also leaves behind 13 Nieces and Nephews. Gerie was born in Florence, CO on August 19, 1967. She attended Hewitt- Trussville High School in Alabama before going to Birmingham Southern College and then enlisted in the United States Navy. After serving in the US Navy, Gerie served in both the Kansas and Alabama Army National Guard. Gerie enjoyed reading, crocheting, and raising her Chihuahuas and most of all spending time with her granddaughter. There will be a gathering for Gerie on Tuesday, August 25, from 11 -12 at Rockco Funeral Home in Montevallo, AL. A graveside service will be held at the Alabama National Cemetery on Tuesday August 25, at 12:30 PM.
