Gertrude Roberts Burcham, age 91 of Jemison, Alabama formerly of Calera, Alabama passed away on September 22, 2014. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Gertrude was known for her cooking and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph F. Burcham of 22 years and William H. Roberts of 49 years; daughter, Sherry Rice; son, Kencaid Roberts.
Gertrude is survived by her daughter and caregiver, Teresa Ellison; sons. Bobby Roberts (Tracy) and Charles “Poss” McGiboney (Earline); daughter-in-law, Charolette Roberts; granddaughter and caregiver, Tina Compton Dobbs (Marty); step-daughters, Sylvia Douglass and Colleen Burcham; step-sons, Gill Burcham (Sherry) and Paul Burcham (Pat); 23- grandchildren and 33- great-grandchildren; special niece and nephew, Debra and Terry Wilson.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel (Montevallo) with burial in Leach Cemetery in Calera, Alabama. Bro.
