Horton, Jack Thomas age 82 of Birmingham, AL passed away on Monday, August 04, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bette Horton, four brothers, and two sisters. Mr. Horton served his country proudly in the US Navy by being involved in the Korean Conflict. He was in the sales department for US Steel for almost thirty-two years when he retired. He is survived by his loving wife, Sybil S. Horton; daughter, Pamela H. Prather (Keith); son, Michael T. Horton (Jill); two granddaughters, Kelsey C. Horton and Sophie C. Horton; sister, Joyce H. Grissom; also by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 07, 2014 at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel from 10 to 12 noon. A graveside service with military honors will follow in the Alabama National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to American Heart Association or Pulmonary Hypertension Association.
