

He is preceded by his parents, George Curtis Stracner and Mildred Lee White Stracner; and daughter, Kathy Stracner Jackson.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his soul mate and wife of 66 years, Martha McCarty Stracner; daughters, Jan Stracner Hines (Mark) and Beth Stracner; son, Doug Stracner (Marla); brother, Richard Stracner (Jeanette) grandchildren, Laura (Nathan), Diana (Joel), Peter Ryan, Rachel (Jacob), Andrew, Jack, Kate, and Ben; step grandchildren, Nic, Michael, and Rebecca; great-granddaughter, Sophia; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Jimmie was a deacon of the Baptist Church and taught Sunday School at First Baptist Church of Alabaster for more than 60 years. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed. We know that Jimmie is watching us and his favorite team from Heaven. (Roll Tide!)
A visitation for Mr. Stracner will be held at First Baptist Church of Alabaster on Sunday August 16, 2020 from 1:15 pm t0 2:00 pm. A funeral service will follow immediately after visitation. The committal service will be held at Old Sterrett Cemetery in Sterrett, Alabama on Sunday August 16, 2020 at 4:00 pm
