Lester Ray White

Ray spent most of his life in Alabaster, Alabama. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather to his family. He was employed at Vulcan Materials for 37 years. Ray loved to hunt, fish and garden. He was a member of Alabaster First Baptist until he moved to Georgia in 2008, where he became a member of Bremen First Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Joyce Melton White, his mother and father, Jesse & Myra White, a sister Vera Ellison, and a brother, Homer White.

He is survived by two sons, Ken (Suzanne) White of Leeds, AL, and Kerry (Elaine) White of Bremen, GA; 6 Grandchildren: Chris (Sharon) White, Bremen, GA, Jennifer (Keith) Hicks, Buchanan, GA, Kimberly (Austin) Hood, Helena, AL, Kacie White, Helena, AL, Nathan (Mandy) Acre, Leeds, AL, Nick (Shelby) Acre, Leeds, AL, 4 Greatgrandchildren: Emma & Barrett Hood, Madison Acre, Aerilyn Acre.

Brothers: Gene White, Bill White (Dorothy) and Larry White (Renee).

Funeral Services will be conducted at Rocko Funeral Home of Montevallo, Alabama on Wednesday, July 12 at 11:00 am CDT with Reverend Tom Hammett officiating.

Pallbearers will be Chris White, Keith Hicks, Austin Hood, Nathan Acre, Nick Acre, Seth Denman, Honorary - Tim Payne.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 12 at 10:00 am CDT at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo) with service immediately following at 11:00.

Interment will be at Elliotsville Cemetery, Alabaster, AL.
