Martha Lockhart

Martha Jane Lockhart, age 76, of Montevallo, passed away on December 14, 2015. Martha was born and raised in Altoona in Blount County, and graduated from Susan Moore High School. She retired as a billing clerk in the freight line business from Yellow Freight Line and Campbell 66. She was an active member of Calera Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Lockhart; father, Oather Herbert Jackson; mother, Loise Ridgeway Jackson; daughter, Sandra Reneau Lockhart; brothers, Oather Hewitt Jackson and James Malton Jackson; and sister, Mildred Weaver. She is survived by her daughter, Jerrie Rochester (Joel); granddaughter, Jennifer Hays (Matt); grandson, Jonathan Rochester; sister, Mary Ann Laughlin (Ed); and several nieces and nephews. Her Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 11:00AM at Calera Baptist Church, with visitation to begin at 10:00AM. Rev. Jason Jarvis will officiate. Burial will be at 1:30PM at Ebenezer Methodist Cemetery, 96 Ellison Cir., Altoona, AL 35952. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund at Calera Baptist Church.
