Mary Louise Batte

Mary Louise Batte, age 87, of Montevallo, Alabama passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025. Mary was born in St. Charles, Virginia to Samuel Hosmer and Byrdie Stewart Hosmer. She was a devoted member of Providence Baptist Church since 1968. She devoted her life to her faith, family, and home.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 59 years, Ronald "Ron" Dennis Batte; and brother, Harold Franks. Mary is survived by daughter, Karen Renee Beane (Ed); sons, Steven H. Batte (Susie) and Edward A. Batte (Gwen Price); seven grandchildren, Jennifer Blankenship (Luke), Bobby Beane (Sherri), Donnie Beane (Christy), Robin Massey (Adam), Ashley McCoy, Megan Cigelske, and Aaron Batte (Megan); fourteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will occur Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Providence Baptist Church,190 Co Rd 46, Montevallo, AL 35115, with visitation to begin at 10:00 AM. A committal service will occur Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 2:00 PM at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Highway 119, Montevallo, AL 35115. Rev. Allen Foster will officiate. The family requests any memorial donations be directed to Providence Baptist Church.
