Mary Nell Frost

Mary Nell Gentry Frost, 94, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 in Montgomery, Alabama. Mary Nell was a member of University Baptist Church in Montevallo and loved her church family. She also volunteered at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham for many years. She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Fred H. Frost, Jr., her daughter, Mary Lynn Frost Anderson; and her parents, Dr. William Thomas Gentry and Mary Elizabeth Grant Gentry. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Strong Turnbull (Scott) of Austin, TX; son, Fredric H. Frost III (Jackie) of Montgomery, AL; grandchildren, Heather L. Dallas (Doug) of Auburn, AL, Derek A. Frost (Allison) of Montgomery, AL, Christyn J. Bailey (Rick) of Austin, TX, Daniel deG. Strong III (Melanie) of San Antonio, TX, Deanna L. Anderson of Montevallo, AL and Stephanie C. Mason of Birmingham, AL; and great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Lauren & John David Dallas, John Alan, Anna & Christian Frost, John-daniel & Christlyn June Bailey, Alliyanna Zamora, Daniel deG. Strong IV, and Brittany & Sarah Anderson. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 1:30 until 2:30 PM at University Baptist Church. Funeral services will begin at 2:30 PM with burial to follow at Montevallo City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Scott Turnbull, Doug Dallas, Daniel Strong III, Dick Scott, Bob Riesener and Jimmy Thrasher. A very special thanks to her loving caregivers: Peggy Fletcher, Mamie Street, Breanne Blake, and Michelle Underwood; and to the University Baptist Church for their prayers and support.
