Robert Eugene Hawkins, born June 21, 1934 passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Floyd and Sadie Hawkins, wife, Mary Thackerson Hawkins, and daughter, Mary Eugenia. Mr. Hawkins is survived by his loving wife of 16 years Angie Hawkins, daughter Chandra Kendall (Jeff), grandchildren, Maegan and Matthew Kendall, as well as a multitude of step children and step-grandchildren. Robert was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church of Montevallo for 64 years, owner of Hawkins Metal Products, a member of the Rotary club, and member of the Montevallo Masons lodge number 70. Visitation will take place at the First United Methodist Church of Montevallo August 22, 2014 beginning at 9:00 AM for family and 9:30 AM for friends. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM; immediately followed by a Masonic graveside service at Montevallo City Cemetery; Officiated by Buddy Freeman and Brian Wyatt.
