Robert Lee McCartney Jr.

Robert “Lee” McCartney, Jr., age 58, of Montevallo, passed away on November 20, 2023. Lee was a long time employee of Reddy Ice/ Pure Pak for 34 years. Lee was born in Siluria, Alabama to the late Robert and Patricia McCartney.

He was preceded in death by his niece, Jade Mitchell of Calera, Al.

Lee is survived by his two children, Justin and Austin McCartney; wife of 30 years, Anita McCartney; sister, Tammy McCartney; a host of nieces and nephews; and chosen brothers, Larry Fortenberry and Bobby Hanson.

Lee enjoyed spending time with his boys, watching Auburn Football and NASCAR, gardening, scavenging for golf balls and baseballs, feeding the squirrels at the park, and playing video games, especially Call of Duty.

Lee’s funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo), 3715 Hwy 25, Montevallo, AL 35115 at 11:00am, with visitation to begin at 10:00am. He will be laid to rest at Elliottsville Cemetery in Alabaster, Alabama.
