

Rev. Robert "Bob" Trimble was born on January 15, 1937, in Barnett's Creek, Kentucky. He passed away at home in Holland on January 7, 2026, at the age of 88. Bob was a resident of Holland, Michigan, and will be remembered as a humorous, hard-working, outgoing, and creative individual.
Bob was called to the ministry at age 29 and dedicated his life to pastoring churches across Tennessee, North Carolina, Maryland, and particularly Michigan. He married Nancy Ann Terrell on February 10, 1956, and they shared 63 happy years together until her passing in 2019. In his retirement years, Bob founded the Retirement Park Congregation in Englewood, Florida, where he met his current wife, Dorothy.
A man of many talents, Bob was very musically inclined, playing the guitar and singing. He was also known to make personal sacrifices for the good of his family or others. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Trimble; son, Tom Trimble; grandson, Aaron Trimble; and sisters, Opaline Watkins, Dorothy Stidham, and Annalee Rutan; brother, Wade Trimble. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Trimble of Holland, MI; daughter, Teresa Ann Howden (Allan) of Creston, BC, Canada; son, Rev. Tim Trimble (Rhoda) of Pelham, AL; daughter-in-law, Barbara Ann Trimble; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Larry Bodey of Englewood, FL; sister-in-law, Sharon Borland (Bill) of Urbana, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo) located at 3715 Highway 25, Montevallo, AL 35115, on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at Cornerstone Church, 2694 Co Rd 58, Helena, AL 35080, on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 12:00 pm, and will lie in-state beginning at 11:00 am. A committal service will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Alabaster, Alabama. Rev. Tim Trimble will officiate.
