Sylvia Dean "Sib" Underwood

Sylvia Dean Underwood "Sib" age 69 of Montevallo passed away on Tuesday June 30, 2015 at Shelby Medical Center. She was born February 28, 1946 to Thomas and Emma Massey. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Wayne Underwood. She was the loving sister of two brothers Robert and Billy Massey and three sisters Sherrell Vance, Dolly Faye Lawley, and Jean Ray. She is survived by her son Roger Underwood, and daughter Cindy Miley. Sylvia's family was the most important thing in the world to her, and it was because of this she dedicated herself to also raising her grandchildren. She was the loving grandmother of five, Anthony Stanfield, Timothy Stanfield, Joshua Gillis, Maizie Underwood, and Corey Howard. She was the great grandmother of two, Noah Wayne Stanfield and Sophia Edmeralda Stanfield. Sylvia Underwood spent her life dedicated to her family. She spent most of her years as a homemaker and took great pride in making sure her family was always taken care of. Visitation will be held on Monday July 6, 2015 at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo) from 6 until 8PM. The Funeral Services will be held Tuesday July 7th 2015 at Rockco Funeral Home at 11 AM and Sylvia's final resting place will be at Nabors Cemetery right beside her loving husband. She is in peace now. She is with Jesus.
