Ted Ray Allen

He was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Alabaster where he served in many capacities including Elder and Sunday School teacher.

He was a loving, supportive Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Sara; his parents Dewey and Mary Allen; and his sister Brenda Kirby.

He is survived by his daughters Pam Tucker (Jim) and Leigh Oelmann (Jeff) and son Mike (Marcia.) He is also survived by grandchildren Sarah Nan Gillis, Mary Beth Cline (Jon), Michael Allen (Michelle), Allen Tucker, Alex Tucker, Janie Oelmann, Anna Oelmann, Allie Oelmann and great-grandchildren Murphy Cline and Perry Cline.

Ted was born in Pea Ridge, Alabama on September 14, 1934. He attended Montevallo High School and the University of Montevallo. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Korea and worked many years for the Trane Company in Birmingham, Alabama.

Visitation for Ted Allen will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Alabaster on Tuesday, April 12th from 9:30 until 11:00 am. The funeral service will follow at the church at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Elliottsville Cemetery in Alabaster, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Alabaster.
