William “Tadpole” Taylor, age 94, went to meet his Lord on Thursday, October 27, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife; Jack Taylor, son; James Taylor and granddaughter; Lea Taylor. He is survived by his daughter; Ann Taylor. Tadpole was born in Shelby, Alabama and raised in Calera. He was an avid bird hunter. He served 4 years as a Marine 2nd Lt. in WWII and was a member of Krulak Detachment 1415 of the Marine Corps League. The visitation is Monday, October 31, 2016 between 1pm and 2pm with the service following at 2pm in the Chapel at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo). Burial will be immediately following the service at Providence Cemetery.
