Albert Neal Turner Jr.

Albert “Neal” Turner, Jr TURNER, Albert “Neal”, Jr, 71, a longtime resident of Montgomery AL died peacefully in his sleep at home on September 10, 2024, after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert N Turner, Sr (LTC, USAF, Ret) and Enice Howell Turner, Martha Turner Jackson (sister) and Justin Mark Jackson (nephew). He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Laurie Hughes Turner, (brothers-in-law) Bubba Hughes and Mike Hughes (Karen), and nieces Sarah Hughes Foreman (Brian), Amanda Hughes Martin (Jamie), Lauren Hughes Young (Bryan), and Autumn Hughes, and his lifelong friends Billy Birchfield and Jimmy Beasley. Neal was born on an Airbase in Germany on December 24, 1952. He graduated Robert E Lee High School in 1971. Neal lived hard and loved hard, leading a full and colorful life. He loved Jesus, his country, family, friends, and his many pets (past and present). His wit and unique outlook on life will be greatly missed by those he loved. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Montgomery Humane Shelter.

A graveside service for Albert will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens, 909 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109.
