Angela Simmons

Angela Simmons died on Thursday, August 24, 2017. She was preceded in death by: Henry Faulkner and Royce Simmons, her parents; John Hannibal and Katie Ruth McNeill. She is survived by: her five children; Diane Faulkner of Montgomery, Sandra Ard of Montgomery, Bonnie Barnett of Novice, Texas, Debra Simmons of Troy and Greg Simmons of Winfield and her brother; John McNeill. Her surviving grandchildren include: Gary Ard of Montgomery, Tammy Roberts of Brownwood, TX, Shannon Beets of Coleman, TX, and Cori Newman of Troy. Angela had four nieces and three nephews, as well as, twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Angela attended Highland Ave. Baptist Church until moving to Pine Level where she then attended Pine Level Baptist Church. Angela did hair for 40+ years in Montgomery to help support her family. She was an amazing and faithful wife to Royce for 34 years. She worked side-by-side in whatever and wherever she was needed. Her children were quick to say, “She was the best mom anyone could have had and was always there for them regardless of the situation, always helping in so many ways, always happy and full of life. She loved her family dearly.”

Pallbearers will include: Taylor Ard, Patrick Ard, Joseph Ard, Wesley McNeill, Oliver Faulkner and Tom Nichols. Rev. Bill Faulkner (Bubba) will be officiating.

A visitation for Angela Simmons is scheduled for Monday, August 28 (6:00-7:00 pm) in the Chapel of White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home. A graveside service is set for Tuesday, August 29 at 11:30 am in Greenwood-Serenity Cemetery. Please meet at the chapel prior to graveside to join the processional on Tuesday morning.
