Anita Bramblett Graves

She was born on March 21, 1954 in Akron, Ohio and passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 in Elmore, AL after an extended illness. She is survived by her husband Gary Lynn Graves of Elmore, AL; daughter Sandy Jenkins of Gadsden, AL; step-son Harrison Graves of Montgomery, AL; step-daughter Susan Peek of Gadsden, AL; granddaughter Tiffany Haney of Gadsden, AL; grandsons Brandon Jenkins of Gadsden, AL and Barrett Graves of Montgomery, AL; great granddaughters Kylee Haney and Ailia Vaughn both of Gadsden, AL; brother Larry Shelton of Altoona, AL; sisters Barbara Peek of Conyers, GA, Cathy Eskew of Blairsville, GA, Debbie Pope of Chelsea, AL, Sharon Cox of Gadsden, AL, Rita Cusatti of Callahan, FL, Della Payne of Rainbow City, AL and Brenda Boatwright of Gadsden, AL.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Sarah Lewis of Gadsden, AL; step-son Elliott Graves of Montgomery, AL; father George Henry Shelton, Jr of Gadsden, AL; mother Gloria LeCroy Mayes of Callahan, FL and sister Patty Shelton Obar of Gadsden, AL.

Anita was a registered nurse who had a gift for serving others. She was very conscientious in serving her patients with dignity, respect and true compassion. Her lifelong goal was striving for excellence in nursing. Anita greatly enjoyed boating with her husband Gary and all the friends that visited with them there. She had a great passion for antiques and was a very caring and generous soul who will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 25, 2022 at Leak Memory Chapel at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
