

Ann was married to her high school sweetheart William "Emmett" Mitchell for 60 years.
She was born in Goshen, Al and then raised in Montgomery, Al
She retired after 42 years from the city of Montgomery as the Administrative Director for the Parks and Recreation Department. However, her greatest achievement in life was having and raising her 4 daughters, Deborah, Donna, Dena, and Dana. She was the most selfless, loving, and giving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and was a friend to all. Later in life she was ready to have one more daughter, so along came her pride and joy, her fur baby " Bama Belle".
She was preceded in death by her husband William "Emmett" Mitchell, her daughter Deborah Mitchell Powell, her parents Kelvey and Georgia Roberts, her brother, Bobby Roberts, her brother-in-law Pierce Mitchell and her nephew Tim Mitchell.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Bate (Robert); Dena Hamilton (Billy) and Dana Pauley (Stephen) and her son in law, Terry Powell, her sister-in-law, Carol Mitchell, and her multiple nieces and nephews.
She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, Trey Bate, Mitch Duncan (Haley), Lynnsey Robinson (Issac), Tyler Duncan, Hunter Abrams, Kendall Duncan, Chance Abrams, Kayla Mosley (Josh), Cody Powell. She also leaves behind 3 great grandchildren, Riley Bate, Gavin Robinson and Callie Ann Duncan.
Special thanks to great friends James and Sandy Horn, Gail Chappell, Quita Haggard, and the staff at Hospice of Montgomery, and especially to our wonderful family friend, Pastor " Little Bubba" Lambert.
A visitation for Ann will be held Friday, June 21, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL 36109, followed by a Celebration of Life beginning at 3:00 P.M.
