

Annette Wilson Cox went home to be with her Lord on March 6, 2025, after a brief illness. She was a faithful member of Morningview Baptist Church and worked as a loan officer for Compass Bank, Colonial Bank, and with a local mortgage lender, while providing a godly home for her family. She enjoyed sweet, fun fellowship with so many brothers and sisters in the faith, co-workers, and friends, including those at Wesley Gardens where she resided for her last three years.
She lived a blessed 88 years and provided a wonderful Christian legacy of love for others. She was married 64 years to her predeceased husband George Harvey Cox and had three sons: William (Billy) Cox (Brucie), Steven Cary Cox (Jenny) all of Montgomery, and George Stanley Cox (Kelly) of Opelika. She was affectionately loved and known as Nana to her ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Emily Moore (Tyler) of Birmingham, Tanner Cox (Katie Gray) of Mobile; Wesley Cox (Brandy) of Montgomery, Katie Cox of Tuscaloosa, Charlie Cox of Pikeville, Kentucky, Josh Yates (Katie) of Tuscaloosa; Wilson Sayegh (Jawad), Parker Cox (Kayly), Braxton Cox and CJ Harris of Opelika. Great grandchildren are Brady, Tatum, Smith, James, Ellie Kate, Grant, Samuel, Sally Clemens, Mason, and Laurel.
She was predeceased by her father William (Bill) T Wilson and her mother Estelle Wilson of Montgomery and her brother Edward Wilson (Sheryl) of Athens, Georgia.
Visitation will be at 10 am and the Memorial Service at 11 am at Leak Memory Chapel on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, followed by a graveside burial at Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Shawn Merithew will preside. Her grandchildren will serve as pall bearers. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Wesley Gardens Charitable Foundation 1555 Taylor Rd Montgomery, AL 36117 would be a blessing.
