Betty Poole Boyd

Boyd, Betty P., age 81, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Prattville Baptist Hospital. Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by her husband after 35 years of marriage, Walter Boyd, her parents, Charlie Poole and Annie Bell Hall Poole. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Boyd (Harold) Wilson; a sister, Beverly Poole (Charles) Ming; a brother-in-law, Robert E. (Patty) Boyd; nieces and nephews; and a special canine companion, “Mandy”. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Leak Memory Chapel with Reverend Larry Armstrong officitaing. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Leak Memory Chapel on Saturday, June 23, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 7:00pm. Mrs. Boyd was a member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church, the Friendship Sunday School Class and the Daughters of the Nile. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Tesmer, Casey Tesmer, Cody Tesmer, Chad Phillips, Jeremy McGinty and Patrick Ming.
