Betty was born March 8, 1930 to Issac and Ida Droher.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Issac and Ida Droher; her sister, Anna Lee Litvak; and her husband of 62 years, Harold Ehrlich.
She is survived by her son, Barry (Debra) Ehrlich; her daughter, Elaine (John) Kirkpatrick; one grandson, David (Erica) Ehrlich; two great-grandsons, Treyton and Huck; one niece, Ellen Feldman (Harvey Berlin); two nephews, Rabbi Richard (Nancy) Litvak and Larry Litvak (Dr. June Cooperman); as well as a host of great-nieces and -nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty’s memory to Agudath Israel-Etz Ahayem Synagogue, Montgomery Area Food Bank, Montgomery Cancer Center, or to a charity of your choice.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Aveanna Hospice and to Betty’s longterm caregivers, Jaunita Pearson, Bettie J. Williams, and Tracey Carter, for their loving kindness.
Pallbearers will be David Ehrlich, Aaron Bern, Neal Labovitz, Irving Brenner, Jeff Brenner, and Ken Shinbaum.
Honorary pallbearers are Dickie Blondheim, Arnold Finkelstein, Charles Miller, Bert Shephard, Richard Shinbaum, Ira Kupferberg, Jeff Bern, Allen Stern, Rickey Bern, Hal Brendle, Raymond Cohen, Morris Capp, Jerald Labovitz, and Ed Nichols.
A graveside for Betty will be held Monday, November 11, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Greenwood Cemetery, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL 36109.
