Betty Lowery

Lowery, Betty, age 68, a resident of Marbury, Alabama, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010. Mrs. Lowery was preceded in death by her father, Mr. James Pippin, her mother, Mrs. Josephine Pippin and her niece, Diane Covington. Mrs. Lowery is survived by her husband, Mr. Dan Lowery; her two sons, Mr. Stewart Lowery (Kelli) and Mr. Ricky Lowery (Melissa), both of Marbury, Alabama, her sister, Mrs. Jean Gaines (Kent) of Powder Springs, Georgia, four grandchildren: Samantha Lowery, Taylor Lowery, Logan Lowery and Lawson Lowery, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lowery was a beloved school teacher for the Autauga County Board of Education for 28 years. A graveside funeral service officiated by Rev. Michael Morgan will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2010, at 1:30 pm at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Saturday, September 25, 2010, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Pallbearers for Mrs. Lowery’s service are Mr. Bill Pippin, Mr. Clayton Pippin, Mr. Maury Popwell, Mr. Mike Tidwell, Mr. Wayne Powell and Mr. Jerry Connell.
