Betty Jean Parrish, age 81, passed away Friday, August 14, 2020. She was a kindhearted person who loved helping others as well as animals. She was a loving wife, a great mother, and a caring sister. She valued her family and loved them dearly. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Jenkins Parrish; and her parents, Mr. & Mrs. James C. Bass. She is survived by her children, Barry (Dianne), Greg, Mark (Gladys), and Vanessa (Lee); her beloved 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren who she enjoyed so much; as well as two sisters, Brenda Gilbert (Bill) and Debbie Trawick (Charles) and their families.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at 10:00am at Leak Memory Chapel with a Graveside service at 11:00am at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Dorman Nelson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or to your favorite charity.
