Carol Arthur Woodcock, 80, passed away in Montgomery, Alabama, on Thursday, May 10, 2018. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Woodcock (Kim) and Andrea Priola (Frank); her grandchildren, Rodney, Michael, Maxwell, Sidney and Emily; and her brother, Gary Arthur (Marge); and son-n law, Michael Shakal.
Mrs. Woodcock most loved time spent with her husband “Woody” during 56 years of marriage. She loved life and people and was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Carol earned her master's degree from the University of Alabama and was a huge Crimson Tide fan. Mrs. Woodcock spent more than 40 years in social work serving in various capacities with the City of Omaha, Nebraska, the City of Montgomery, and the State of Alabama, where she retired. During her lifetime Mrs. Woodcock volunteered with Family Services Organizations within the U. S. Air Force and local agencies. Carol will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Margaret’s at Oakwood Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Catholic Social Services of Montgomery, 4455 Narrow Lane Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36116.
