Carolyn Reynolds Helton

Carolyn Reynolds Helton, 92, died peacefully at home with family and friends by her side on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother, a faithful friend and strong in her belief of her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born on October 13, 1929 in Grady, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her adoring and beloved husband of 40+ years, Darrington H. Helton "Pete", her father, Thomas V. Reynolds, her mother, Charlotte Gussie Reynolds, her brothers, Tom Reynolds, Leslie Reynolds, Carden Reynolds, Bill Reynolds and Luther Reynolds and by her sisters, Mae McLendon, Olene Caroly, Ruth Squires and Hazel Crenshaw. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Karen Lorentson (John), step granddaughters, Jennette Williams (Chris), Amanda Stricklin (Beck) and step great grandchildren, Lexie Lorentson, Clay Williams and Madi Armstrong. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. She was a faithful member of Vaughn Park Church of Christ. Memorials in lieu of flowers can be sent to Agape of Montgomery or a favorite charity.

A visitation for Carolyn will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, followed by a celebration of life chapel service at 11:00 AM. Services will conclude with a burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
