Cecil Franklin Sowell

Cecil is survived by his wife of 40 years, Norma J. Sowell; children, Cecilia Howell (Clint), Jeffrey Sowell; stepchildren, Cheryl Hall, Sheila Raines, Randy Raines, and grandchildren, Adam Sowell (Joey), Ryan Swanner (Jenifer), Lee Sowell, Jacob Sowell (Jessica), Annon Cooper (Blake), Haylee Howell, Peyton Sowell, Preston Sowell, Parker Sowell and 3 great great grandchildren; step grand children, Clint Howell Jr (Mandi) and Christle Jordan (Travis).

Cecil was retired from Alabama Department of Transportation as an engineer after 35 years of service.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, from 10:00am-11:00am, at Leak Memory Chapel, with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 11:00am with Rev. Dale Huff, officiating. Burial will be at Alabama Heritage Cemetery following the service. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
