Wingard, Cecil Fontelle, 84, a resident of Auburn and a former resident of Montgomery died Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, September 26th at Leak Memory Chapel with Dr. George Mathison and Rev. Charles Cummings officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. He is survived by one sister, Voncile Wells and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Lou Wingard. He was born in Grady, AL and graduated from Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn), served in the US Navy and retired from the Alabama Highway Department and the Alabama Beverage Control Board. He was an avid Auburn Football fan and a member of the Scholarship Club. The family requests the omission of flowers.
