Charles McGough Jr.

Charles Haywood McGough Jr., beloved husband, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away suddenly on November 29, 2024, at the age of 63. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Haywood McGough Sr. and Sarah Rowe McGough, and his sister, Deborah McGough.

Charles is survived by his devoted husband, Joseph Todd Taylor, his nephew, Robert Boody, many loving cousins, and dear friends.

Charles was known for his sweet nature, kind heart, and vibrant spirit. He had a genuine love for life and embraced each moment to the fullest. He found joy in travelling, indulging in gourmet food, cooking meals that brought people together, and listening to music of all kinds. A true animal lover, Charles had a special bond with his pets, who brought him much happiness.

In accordance with Charles’ wishes, there will be no funeral service. The family asks that you simply allow Charles' memory to live on in your hearts, as his warmth, generosity, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In honor of his love for music, the family encourages you to listen to Mad Love by Linda Ronstadt, one of his most cherished albums.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Montgomery Humane Shelter in Charles’s memory.
