PATTERSON, Charles Wayne (Bucky), 66, died peacefully at his home Saturday, June 18, 2016 after suffering a profound illness. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carolyn Crawford; two sons, Charles Wayne Patterson, Jr., (Chase) and wife, Kari, Luke Crawford Patterson, and wife, Nikki; and three precious grandchildren, Cambry, Layton and Henley who knew his as “Pop”. His sense of humor and genial attitude made it easy for people to immediately like him. Bucky loved anything outdoors; fishing, grilling, golf and especially coaching his sons in little league baseball at Joe Marshall Field at Morningview School. Probably some of his favorite times were family beach vacations, there were many over the years, with extended family and friends. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle and a dear friend to many. The family would like to thank the wonderful caring staff of Amedisys Hospice Care and especially the aide, Cierra, and nurse, Sheila, who were so patient and gentle with him. Services will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at White Chapel Funeral Home with friend and Pastor Paul Lammon officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
