

Charles Howard “Chuck” Peppers, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Leak Memory Chapel from 5:30pm-7:30pm. A graveside service will be at 2:00pm on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Rehobeth Methodist Church Cemetery, Equality, Alabama. Rev. Rick Marshall officiating. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Randolph & Sadie Peppers; his siblings, Lessie Mask, Pearl Smith, William Lee Peppers, and Sara Johnson. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 59 years, Elea Brown Peppers; sons, Danny Peppers, Marty Peppers; grandchildren, Maverick Brian Peppers, Jade Peppers Trent (Travis), Tiffany Peppers, Madison Peppers, Kara Peppers; great grandchild, Ambrose Trent. Survivors also include Neil Reddish, Barbara Brown, Melinda Brown, Edward Brown (Mary), Nell Flournoy, Marie Woodfin (Wayne), Lillian Stephens (Dan), and several nieces and nephews.
Chuck served in the US Navy in San Diego, California and then worked at North American Aviation and helped build the XB70 Bomber Supersonic airplane. While out in California, he was lead singer of a country-western band and played guitar and the harmonica. Upon returning to Alabama, he worked with Mayer Electric Supply as salesman for 30 years and retired there. He was a faithful member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church for 40 years, and a member of the Kline Johnson Sunday School class. He loved everyone and was reminded often to “love the people that God gives you, you’ll never know when He wants them back!”
