Charles Wayne Pruitt

Charles Wayne Pruitt, age 82, of Wetumpka, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. Charles was born in Sylacauga, Alabama to Charlie B. and Mary Pruitt. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie B. and Mary Pruitt, sisters Kim Martin and Brenda Curtis, daughter Deborah Lynn Chamblee, and grandson Jesse Lane Chamblee. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Jimmie Sue Pruitt, sister Patricia Kelley, and his children, Jeffrey Wayne Pruitt and Mary Elizabeth Johns.

Wayne was a dedicated member of Available Worship Church and worked as a truck driver for many years finishing his career as a maintenance supervisor at Flavor Rich. In his off time he enjoyed camping, fishing and boating with his family.

A friends and family visitation for Wayne will be held Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL 36109. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL 36109. A processional will form in the parking lot of Leak Memory at 11:45 am.
