He is preceded in death by his wife, Janice McCoy Uptain; parents, Terrell and Lizzie Uptain; brothers, Paul Uptain, Herbert Uptain and George Uptain; as well as sisters, June Stringer and Pauline Henderson.
He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Kimbro (Rickey); sons, Arland Uptain and Jeff Uptain (Glenda); sister, Terri Kicker; grandchildren, Kemberly Moore (Johnny), Michael Uptain (Rachel), Kaitlin Luckie (John), Chris Kimbro (Cynthia), Mike Kimbro and Mandy Atchison (Kenny); great-grandchildren, Peyton Jones, Cady Jones, Raylee Moore, Jacob Luckie, John Luke Luckie, Nolan Atchison, Audrey Atchison and Blake Kimbro; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends Visitation will be held on July 17, 2024 from 11AM until 12 noon at Leak Memory followed by a 1PM Graveside Committal Service in Magnolia Cemetery in Greenville, AL.
