Crowell Anthony Lisenby Sr.

Lisenby, Crowell Anthony has gone to be with our Lord after suffering through a long term illness. He was a lifelong resident of Montgomery, Alabama. He served in the Army Reserve for 2 years then enlisted in the Navy and served 21 years as an Aviation and Warfare Technician. After his discharge from the Navy, he attended AUM to pursue a Business degree, but changed his path to Nursing where he excelled working as a psychiatric nurse for the VA in Tuskegee for the next 23 years. All the while he continued his education obtaining his Nurse Practitioner degree then worked his final 7 years with Dr “Chilli” along with Montgomery Area Mental Health. He then only retired due to his failing health.

Crowell Anthony Lisenby “Tony” is survived by his loving wife Reba of 61 years of marriage, his sister Gloria Moore and his sons and their wives Crowell (Gayle), Adrian (Beth), Seth (Alexis) and Travis Lisenby. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great grandson, as well as his many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Edith Lisenby, two brothers Clarence “Mickey” Lisenby and James “Jimmy“ Lisenby, and his sister Nancy Lisenby Borders.

Pallbearers will be Justin and Dustin Lisenby, Charles Ashcom, Shep Bowman, Bobby Scott and Donnie Foster.

FUNERAL Service to be held Saturday January 3, 2026 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church located at 5260 Vaughn Road Montgomery, Alabama 36116

The service will be officiated by Reverend Tom Smith of Ridgecrest Baptist Church of which Tony was a deacon.

VISITATION will be held at 1 pm with the service to follow at 2 pm. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church or to a charity of your choosing.
