Dale Bowden

Marshall Dale Bowden of Prattville, Alabama passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Jackson Hospital. Born to Curtis Neal Bowden Jr. and Juanita Taylor Bowden, he graduated from Lee High School before owning and managing several businesses. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Shannon Dale Bowden.

He is survived by his wife of 20+ years, Brenda Aldridge; his children, Christy Lowery (Davey), Shane Bowden (Linda) and Leighann Goss as well a brother, Ronald Bowden (Connie) and a sister, Susie Bowden. Dale was a beloved grandfather to Morgan Johnson (Chris), Meagan Burgan (Taylor), Annsley Lowery, Trey Lowery, Kyzer Echols, Payton Bowden, Chayson Bowden, Hollis Bowden, Troy and Cameron Swain, Blake Goss, and Khole Goss; great grandchildren, Tatum Burgan, Laken Johnson and K.D. Echols.

At one point, Mr. Bowden owned and managed a restaurant but later shifted his focus to dry cleaning. He loved the lake life, riding his golf cart around the island and sharing time with close friends. He was passionate about Alabama football, but Dale’s delight was his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Pallbearers will be Joey Wells, Richard Gemette, Carmen Gemette, Joe Mack Plott, Travis Benett, Gerald Boyd, and Triston Smith.

A friends and family visitation for Dale will be held Sunday, July 2, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, followed by a celebration of life chapel service at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
