

David Wilson Phelps, 55, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, December 30, 2014. He was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Collier, and two children, Charity Nicole Phelps, and William David Phelps. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Mary S. Phelps of Wetumpka, AL.; mother, Frances Jeanette Collier, and father, William J. Collier, of Wetumpka, AL.; his step-son, Bradley Neil Browning and wife, Bethany G. Browning of Jacksonville, FL.; sisters, Lisa Hyde of Birmingham, AL., Lisa A. Nealey and husband, Ronnie Nealey of Daphne, AL., Sylvia Phelps Tate and husband, Tommy H. Tate of Demopolis, AL.; brother, Randy Cook of Wetumpka, AL.; three grandchildren, Bradley Neil Browning, Jr., Taylor Cassidy Browning, and Alexander Mitchell Browning of Jacksonville, FL. David was a devout man of God and humble servant of Jesus Christ, with a deep and abiding love for his wife, his family, his many friends and acquaintances, and for his country, and was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Funeral services will be held at Leak Memory Chapel Wednesday, January 7th at 12:00 noon with Pastor Ed Bush officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the same location. Burial is scheduled for 2:45PM at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Hwy. 119, Montevallo, AL. 35115.
