Mr. Bragg was born in Troy, Alabama. He served our country in the army during the Korean War. Later, he moved to Montgomery, Alabama and then to Prattville, Alabama and worked for 33 years as a conductor for Seaboard Coastline Railroad which later became CSX Railroad. He retired from CSX Railroad in 1995. He was a member of Boone’s Chapel Baptist Church and the Aker’s Men’s Sunday School Class. Many in the Prattville area knew him as the “Walking Man” who walked 12 miles every day after his two open heart surgeries. He was also known to many as the man who folded dollar bills into bowties only to give them away. He would say that you would never be broke as long as you had his bowtie! He was happiest when he was either playing tricks, telling jokes, or helping others. He was an avid fan of Alabama football and the Atlanta Braves. He relished the friends he made in his lifetime. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends and will be waiting to see them again someday.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Clanton Bragg and Lena Amanda Lewis Bragg.
