

He was a founding member of the Millbrook Church of the Nazarene. Donald retired from the USAF as a Senior Master Sergeant after 21 years of service, and later retired as a Warehouse Supervisor from the Alabama Department of Corrections.
Donald was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Spencer; mother, Elnora Longevan; step-mother, Harriet Spencer; and a great-grandson, Christopher Bonds.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Alice Spencer, AL; 3 daughters, Dawn (Butch) Lee, Christine (Carl) Battles, and Pamela Bonds; brothers, Robert Spencer and Lenny Desotel; grandchildren, Jeremy Lee, Jerad (Trish) Battles, Amanda Lee, Cody (Robin) Bonds, and Nathan (Amanda) Battles; and great-grandchildren, Mia Bonds and Isabella Bonds.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at the Millbrook Church of the Nazarene, from 9:30am to 11:00am, with a Celebration of Life following at 11:00am. Donald will then be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery, AL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Millbrook Church of the Nazarene Building Fund.
