Dorothy Annette Cofer passed peacefully to go home to our Lord Jesus at the age of 82. She was retired as a long time employee from the State of Alabama Department of Rehabilitation. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her favorite was her many beach trips with family. She loved family Christmas gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Flova Larson, and her granddaugther Brandi Cofer. She is survived by her daughter Donna DeLong, sons James D. Lamon and Michael (Cynthia) Cofer, grandchildren Alexandra DeLong, Kristine DeLong, Jeffrey Cofer, Bailey Cofer, and Blake Burrage, and great grandchildren William Cofer, Leah Cofer, Hunter Jordan, Mason Jordan, and Gabriel Cofer-Ramirez.
She is survived by sisters that she loved very much, Pat Cooper and Sandra (Van) Pilkinton, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later time.
