Edith Lynell Brassell, a cherished and devoted lifelong resident of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on December 25, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on June 6, 1941, Edith dedicated many years of her life as a Lab Tech for a local Orthodontist. She was a respected member of the Businesswomen of Montgomery and a faithful member of the Dalraida Baptist Church.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Henry Jones Jr. and Mamie Sealey Jones, as well as her sister Gloria Jones and one infant sister. She leaves behind her beloved son, Malcolm Smith "Bud" Brassell Jr., and her brothers, Cecil Bryant Jones, Thomas Henry Jones III, and Jack Jennings Jones.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at Forest Hills Cemetery in Snowdoun, Alabama, on January 2, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Edith's memory may be made to the Brentwood Children's Home of Montgomery, Alabama.
