Elizabeth Ann Champion Aitken

AITKEN, Elizabeth “Liz” Ann Champion, 62, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at her residence in Prattville, AL.

Born December 14, 1961, in Chicago, IL, to Ralph Champion Sr. and Carol Champion, she married Richard Aitken on August 31, 1982.

Liz was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Champion Sr.; her sister, Lenore Smith; and her husband of 28 years, Richard Aitken.

Surviving are her mother, Carol Champion, of Prattville, AL; four children, Jamie (Brian) Alig of Pekin, IL, Johnathan (Lindsey) Aitken of New Brockton, AL, Jeremy (Gloria) Aitken of Birmingham, AL, and Michelle Aitken of Montgomery, AL; one sister, Teri (Joey) Morris; three brothers, Ralph Champion Jr. of Hope Hull, AL, James Champion of Prattville, AL, and Brian (Melonie) Champion, of Prattville, AL; nine grandchildren, Paisley and Clara Alig, Charlie, Alli Kate, John Luke, James Paul, and Hazel Aitken, and Amelia and Lily Aitken; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorial services will take place Monday, August 12, 2024, starting at 1:00 PM at Pintlala Baptist Church, with Rev. Gary Burton officiating.
