Elizabeth B. "Tina" & James A. "Sonny" McInnis

July 1, 1936 - December 14, 2020

Elizabeth Browder McInnis “Tina” was born January 27, 1940 and passed away on December 9, 2020. She is survived by her husband, James A. McInnis “Sonny”; son, John McInnis (Tiffany); grandchildren, Hadley and Chapman McInnis; sister, Mary Glenn Cocergine, and many extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vergie and Lois Browder; siblings, Katherine Barkley, Buddy Browder, and Charlie Browder.

James McInnis “Sonny” was born July 1, 1936 and passed away just a few days later on December 14, 2020. He is survived by his son, John McInnis (Tiffany); grandchildren, Hadley and Chapman McInnis; nephews, Malcolm McInnis and Randy McInnis. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Pauline McInnis; and his brother, William Malcolm McInnis, Jr.

Natives of Montgomery, Sonny and Tina were lifelong residents of Montgomery. Tina was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and Judson College. Sonny was a graduate of Sidney Lanier High School and Auburn University. They were married for 58 years and were faithful members of Heritage Baptist Church. Mr. McInnis loved farming and anything related to it. His family was the light of his life and most of his stories included bragging about his grandchildren. Mrs. McInnis loved the Lord and shared her faith with anyone she came in contact. Her love for her family was always evident and she never met a stranger. They will be missed by all who knew them.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to all the loved ones that showed their care and compassion throughout the past few years. Out of the care and concern for family and friends, there will be no service. A Drive- by Farewell will be on Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 9:00-11:00am at Leak Memory Chapel. Please remain in your car.
