A resident of Heritage Oaks, an Ocala senior living facility, for the past three years, Betty will be sorely missed by many friends there as well as by her extended family and friends in Montgomery, Alabama. Having lived in Montgomery most of her life, she considered Montgomery her home. She was a member of Frazier United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and served in many ministries. Previously she was a member of Perrine Baptist Church, Miami, Florida, where she was a constant in many Easter and Christmas Cantatas. Her love of God was definitely her passion, and she shared that love with all who knew her.
Betty’s greatest joy in life was her family. She took pride in showcasing photos of every member of her family, even extended families, everywhere she lived. She also loved football and The University of Alabama could not have a bigger fan! She would greet you on any game day with her Alabama T-shirt and a “Roll Tide!!!” Her front door wreath had an Alabama theme. Everyone knew Betty by her devotion to family and friends, her loving and caring ways, her generosity, her Alabama Southern drawl and her sweet smile.
Due to the current health crisis, a private burial will occur in Montgomery, AL with a celebration of her life at a later date.
