Erbie Wayne Sanders

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ann Weldon Sanders, and his son, Mark Wayne Sanders, and daughter Kelli Leigh Sanders, both of Wetumpka. He was a loving husband and father.

He was predeceased by his mother, Dovie Dean Adams Cox, and father, Carl Sanders.

He was the owner and operator of Simply Shutters and Blinds for 20 years and was involved in other business ventures during his lifetime. When time permitted, he loved to fish and play golf.

Wayne had a deep love for his family and friends. He never met a stranger and was willing to help anyone. He was loved by everyone who knew him and had a special love for his late grandmother, Jetty Irene Adams, and his Aunt Martha Eleen Tucker.

Mr. Sanders served four years in the U.S. Navy aboard the destroyer, the USS MILLS.

Pallbearers will be his son, Mark Sanders, nephews Steve and Scott Head, Wayne Weldon, Jimmy Cobb and longtime friend, Craig Lee.

Services will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in the Leak-Memory Chapel at 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL, followed by military honors at graveside Visitation will be held in the chapel at 12:00 P.M. Services will be conducted by Rev. Danny Shadix, and music provided by pianist Pete Maddock. MASKS AND SOCIAL-DISTANCING REQUIRED.
