Ethel Elizabeth Weippert Harris now knows fully that which we can only dimly imagine, the full glory of Heaven. This godly woman went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 19, 2021 at the age of 89. She was a longtime member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and sang in the Chancel Choir for 67 years. She also taught the 4-5 year old Sunday school class for over 60 years. She worked at St. James School for 32 years beginning as a kindergarten teacher and then served as school secretary for the remaining years. After retiring, she volunteered with Baptist Hospital as well as at Trinity Presbyterian Church helping with flowers for the sick and shut in. Known to her loving family as Nana, she has always been a servant and involved in community activities. Ethel was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, James E. Harris; parents, Harvey & Irene Weippert; brother, Charles E. Weippert (Rosemary). Loving survivors include her sons, Jim Harris (Ann), Chuck Harris (Sherron), John Harris (Rebecca); nephew, John Lewis; grandchildren, Paul Harris (Kalyn), Thomas Harris (Olivia), Christian Kitsos, Zachary Harris, Eva L. Lami (Chandler); great grandchildren, River Harris, John Daniel Lami.
Visitation will be at 9:00am on Thursday, March 25, 2021, at Leak Memory Chapel with a Chapel Service at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Michael Howell and Jack Cates officiating.
